This is an original 1896 color typogravure, framed by a cream colored mat, of a painting by English artist, William Robert Symonds. The painting depicts Mignon, a character in Goethe's novel Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship. The actual image measures 7. 75 x 12 inches. Period Paper has obtained a lovely collection of original typogravures of the art displayed at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair (The World's Columbian Exposition). This
