The exquisite upper pattern is from a Franco Oriental silk, and the lower one is the motif from the inner cover of a historical book. A unique feature of this illustration, which may be difficult to see in the digital image, is the use of gold ink that not only shimmers when it catches the light but also accentuates some of the finer
