His major find came off the coast of Hispanolia (now Haiti and the Dominican Republic), when his crew uncovered a Spanish wreck filled with treasure. It was then that Phips made the best decision of his career He promised every man on his crew a share, and deliberately made it back with stopping at any unfamiliar ports. No
