these were dubbed "Samurai" due to the similarity of the stacked magazines to traditional Japanese armour

The hat cords were worn around the base of the crown indicated the branch for enlisted men and rank for officers

This is a very rare and excellent condition 1st Pattern NSKK Crash Helmet, complete with an original RZM Label. The helmet is made of molded, smooth, blackened leather helmet with raised, padded, protective bars running horizontally around the helmets bottom edge, and another one running from front to back over the crown top. It looks to have been made towards the end of the 1st Pattern run, as it has some second
