1946 Blue Check Cock Racing Pigeon Portrait Photograph, 500 Mile Winner bowl signed davis 10" long x 7" tallFinding this and a second racing homing pigeon photograph together at an estate in Gloucester, MA this weekend made me super happy the very existence of homing pigeons makes me happy, really, with a fascinating history of service as carrier pigeons, and I think these vintage photographs are very beautiful. I have found a few similar photos in Naval archives, but think likely it came from the collection of a breeder. A note written directly on the
