Amazing 1950s Snapshot of American Family at Leisure basketweave planter I presume in AfricaI think this is an incredible photograph, specifically, and especially as a portrait of the American Family c. 1950s. The mother is crocheting and eying her daughter, the father is reading (and I might guess holding a cigarette just out of view) and the daughter is flying a toy plane, imagining the future! On the mantle, a collection of several photographs, a "Wilson Walkie" elephant, an array of figurines, and very c. 1940s 50s stereotypical Native
