I might guess 1940s-50s or so but am not completely certain

founded in 1954 and still in operation

This and the rest from what I understand came from a  sketchbook of drawings Malta did in the 1930s or so

Very Old Small Painted Clay Spiral or Snake Lid carved blade looking out at the lawnI do not know whence this came, but it appears to me that it is quite old, i. e. very old. It's a small thing, which looks as if likely once a lid to a small vessel, but now would make a wonderful little paper weight. It looks to me like a snake curled into a spiral, with mouth open at the top. Sculpted of black clay, with the snake painted in black against gold and red. 2" d x 7 8" t. A few chips around the bottom edge and a couple of hairline
