Now this is a fantastic US Naval ensign used during a Keel Laying ceremony on Mare Island in November of 1940. Accompanying the flag is a U. S. S. Silversides Deep Submergence Certificate for 312 feet. We were told that this flag came from the Rungee Memorial Collection. We were told this flag was donated to the Flag Heritage Foundation some time after the companys founding by Antoinette Rungee, the widow
