I can’t quite figure out what the one with stylized writing on the front is meant to say—if you can decipher it

the hand-painted exterior made of a canvas type material which gives it a nice stiffness and weight

It's big and chunky--16  1/4" inches long when stretched out and 1 5/8 inches wide and deep --and the ball makes a nice rattle in its cage when shaken

A couple of more wonderfully colorful naive antique drawings today

There is a bit of pitting and greening to the brass

Boxing Match Photograph wooden hair combs I can’t quite figure outAnother old boxing match photo, this one for me all about the whole mise en scene, including layers upon layers of onlookers, from those lined up in the near aisles, to those way in the back, hanging from the rafters! Great faces and postures and gestures all around, captured with clarity. Found in upstate NY near Albany I'd guess not far from where it was taken, but I'm not certain. c. 1900 I believe, mounted to board. 8 1 2" x 6 1 2" and in good
