Forged steel blade, and square nails holding it in place, and lots of years of use left in it. I might be inclined to hang it on the kitchen wall, but it feels mighty nice to hold. 6 5 8" x 3 1 2" x 1 1 16". Very good, beautifully worn antique condition. The blade could use some
