These one just never encounters, a totally genuine original 18th century (circa 1795) British Naval Surgeon's Bicorn Hat made from beaver pelt, much of which is now rather worn. A Surgeon was a respected ship's officer who worked under the most terrible of medical and sanitary conditions in the old wooden hulled Men o War. The work situations were primitive and the wounds, mostly from cannon fire were horrific.
