This is the first owl like this I've seen

Just a beautiful thing

deeply carved tear drop shaped eyes

14 1/2” x 8 5/8” x 7” t  and in very good condition

Paper really is bright white and very clean

Old Brass Hand-engraved Snuff Box with Tulips, Presumed Dutch (Trench?) found face This is the first owlA bit of a challenging to photograph this one due to the shine on the brass, so forgive the crummy pictures . I am pretty certain this is a snuff box, definitely with a lot of years on it, and my guess due especially to the tulips is that it is Dutch. The relatively crude manner of the engraving, especially the zig zags around the edge and on the leaves of the tulips screams trench art to me, though I am not 100% sure. Of course I love it in the way
