Wonderful Antique Folk Art Parquetry Stool with Delights Everywhere folk art textuke approx 2 1/2" x 2The latest favorite in my ongoing hunt for favorite stools, this one found in Lancaster County, earlyish 20th century I believe. I always admire folk art parquetry patterned inlay boxes and the like, but it is the total commitment its maker invested in this stool that makes it great decorating not just the top (and what a marvelous star that is!) but also sneaking more stars and diamonds onto the side edges below, and above the legs on the short sides
