British Machine Gun Cartridges, 0. 4 0. 65 inch Calibres, 1870 ca. 1905 was first published in 1995 by B. A. Temple of Kilcoy, Australia. The books measure 9 x 6 and are all in lovely, unused condition. The first machine gun issued for British service was the Gatling Gun, adopted after trials in 1867 and 1870. It was followed by the Gardner, Nordenfelt and Maxim guns, at various times up to the early 1890's.
