where you can reach out and touch the impasto

Some spotting to the white paint as evident and a bit of splitting to the wood on one short side

Well Used (and a bit Turner-esque) Wooden Painter's Palette construction blocks I assume it was madeIt's rare that I find an old painter's palette with a satisfying build up of paint on it these days that doesn't cost a fortune and more and more I seem to come across palettes that look to have been deliberately painted for decorative purposes (yikes!) But this is a good one, which looks to have been used for quite a substantial period of time by a real painter, with a surface that has been scraped down and built up numerous times over, looking to me
