My Night With Maud 1971 Academy Cinema UK Quad Film Poster, Peter Strausfeld Spanish Fab original Polish film posterThe original Peter Strausfeld designed Academy Cinema film poster for ric Rohmer's Ma nuit chez Maud (My Night With Maud). One of our favourites of all of Strausfeld's designs. Strausfeld, born in Cologne, came to England in 1938. Whilst interned on the Isle of Man during the Second World War, he developed a close friendship with fellow internee George Hoellering. In 1947 Hoellering became the director of Londons pre eminent art house, The Academy
