This is a very good condition original WWII Japanese Army type 98 tropical sun pith helmet. It still retains a wonderful form with internal bamboo wicker construction. Comes with original 5 pointed brass army officer star insignia to the front. Helmet has part of the original suspension system and original chinstrap. The example is marked on the inside with depot and manufacturer information, including a 1941 date.
