He got shown the ropes in the winery by his uncle in 1998 as he was beginning to convert the family domaine to organics. He went on to study agriculture as well as getting experience working with Dominique Belluard in Savoie and Jean Claude Lapalu in Beaujolais. He now works loosely with biodynamic principles in mind, in
