Wilkins O 256835 was second in command of the 690th artillery battalion and supervised all administration in battles. He is named in From Normandy to Leipzig the History of the 690th Field Artillery Battalion, 1943 1945. He joined the army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was awarded a Bronze Star and both his medal and citation are included in this set. His citation reads: 22 June 1945 AWARD
