The paper is a high quality base, made in Japan from a mostly cotton and pulp blend, both bleach and acid free. The result is an extremely versatile paper, suitable for painting as well as pastels. It is characterized by reasonably hard sizing, making it a strong surface, not prone to damage from erasers, and also water resistant.
