The Belt is in excellent condition considering its age, showing obvious signs of honest wear, and age from decades in storage. The belt is constructed of two inch wide bridle leather, and is fitted with a circa 1863 brass belt keeper, which was an improvement over the earlier model M 1855 Waist belt which had an integrally sewn loop (which
