There is another drawing that I believe came from the same portfolio initialed JK (or possibly KJ)

which may not have lasted much beyond 1935 (I have found NO other examples of Mid-Land Novelty's work)--but the company's owner

Board: 9 3/4" w x 9 1/16" t

There is a hairline split that runs about half way across the top

Doux Souvenir (Sweet Memory), Antique French Hand-drawn Postcard with Bird pinback button Perhaps the wood for thisThe French "Doux souvenir" translates more or less to "sweet memory" in English and I must say a dove and lilies of peace feel like something of a sweet, increasingly distant memory indeed:( Quite nicely done, wonderful bird, pen and ink in blue and red and green, c. first decade of the 20th century I believe. 5 1 2" x 3 1 4" and in very good condition. One small crease coming in from right edge, as documented, very minor.
