The hilt and cross guard are stamped brass

The left side of the barrel is marked with serial number 24333 and dated DEC '43

which are read "RAKUYŌ SENBON KONGŌ TANREN-JŌ MASAYUKI"

There is a very nice leather and bullion officer's troddel sword knot wrapped around the hilt in the correct Heer pattern

This is a very nice WWII German HJ cast aluminum Belt Buckle (Koppelschlo). It is embossed with the HJ motto Blut und Ehre (Blood and Honor). The buckle is in near excellent condition which is surprising, as the aluminum used to manufacture these typically doesnt stand up well to the elements.
