A silver Maltese cross; the obverse with a red enameled central medallion depicting a gold crowned coat of arms of Reuss, surrounded by a gold ring; the reverse with a black enameled central medallion depicting a gold crowned royal cipher of Heinrich, surrounded by a gold ring; on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon; measuring 40. 40 mm (w) x 40. 88 mm (g); weighing 12. 5 grams; in overall
