The Squadron moved to RAF Croft in December 1943 and was re-equipped with Avro Lancaster Mk Is and Mk Xs in December 1944

It is accompanied by a promotional slip bearing the same information as the official document

Slovakia, First Republic. A Fire Brigade Commander’s Helmet Auction Suspension in GOLDA well preserved Slovakian Fire Brigade Commanders helmet, constructed of a lacquered black vulcanfibre and magnetic metal composite shell. Affixed to the exterior of the crown is a T shaped bronze frame, secured in place with nine protruding rivets. Emanating from the frame is an ornate raised comb of identical construction, flanked on each side by raised and finely detailed laurel branches. Affixed to the peak of the helmet is a bronze Fire Brigade
