topped by an integral loop with dual rings retaining a replacement ribbon

Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Coastal Artillery War Badge, by Förster & Barth Republic of the pages themselves remaining unaffected(Kriegsabzeichen fr die Marineartillerie). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a central coastal artillery gun with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped hinge and tapering pinback, the latter maker marked with LDO code
